The Woodbridge Area Unity Helpline is a non-profit organization based in Woodbridge, Virginia designed to help one another within the Ethiopian community.

Who are we?

Our mission is to help each other during times of crisis by providing financial assistance for funeral expenses and transporting the body to a final resting place. We also spread word to members of the Edir about the death of a member or family member and encourage others to provide emotional support. Our objective is to fund the estimated funeral cost of $10,000 dollars for members or their loved ones. We also assign groups that will serve dinners for two consecutive days after the funeral service.

Anyone who is 21 years of age or older, lives in Woodbridge, Virginia, and has accepted the bylaws of the Woodbridge Area Unity Helpline can be a member of the organization
